Me too! Shocked and amazed at how great this was. Ok, let me explain. I liked how they gave the toad a personality. How do they do it? They have the narrator explain that they’re slowly taking over the Australia accompanied by scenes of the toad in front of monuments or hoards of them invading the bathroom or peering around the corners. They used all elements of the toad to bring you in, the smell, the color, the size, the weight and the funny sound it makes when you run over them. |

I too was shocked at how funny this was. Good directing. I liked the way they brought in different types of characters to interview at different times. Filmmakers planning on making mockumentaries could learn a great deal. Watch the Contrast people! They had a logical scientist explain how the poison comes out from the Toad. Then they interwove a fake comedic situation of a child chasing a toad and wanting to put it in his mouth. Comedic situation vs the straight guy. |

Believe, it or not this is a documentary. I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining this was, for such a dry subject. Whether you’re a filmmaker or the audience, you will enjoy this movie. I liked the comedic style of telling a documentary. I liked the interviews of the strange people. I ‘m glad it was an hour. I don’t think it there was anything more to say. Kudos to the director for keeping it short. |
