Compressing a Scene

My favorite scene was Homer walking down the street reading the article about him and his friends in the newspaper. They compacted so many elements into that one scene. You hear about how they use their brains instead of their muscles, that girl asks him for his autograph and the FBI show up. That is unbelievable writing and directing. I know it probably took a lot to setup that shot, but I think more filmmakers should work at a scene like this. |
