Hmmm , I guess I must not be very grown up because my cat’s name is CJ, as in CJ Parker (Pamela Anderson) from Baywatch. I think it was a bithard to watch, because it felt preachy against guys. I liked the where the guy gives his speech on ''Beautiful Girls'' make hope for a better tomorrow. He should have stepped onto his chair and given a speech or smooched his calendar or even saluted a Beautiful girl wearing army fatigues.
Great directing and acting

I liked the acting between Natalie Portman and Timothy Hutton. She''s wise and extremely observant, yet she does child like things when she talks, e.g. making snowman. Nice contradiction. I loved it when Timothy calls out "Marty!" one last time as she walks into the screen door and she peeks her head out and says, "yes?" The flirtatiousness in the way she peeks is so damn cute. See, if I were to direct it, I would have told her to ''Stop and listen to him and go inside because you''re hungry. If he calls you back flirt with him.’ I would like to have seen more of Natalie Portman. :)

When I watch most amateur films, I can’t help but cringe when actors stand around and say their dialogue. Not too exciting to watch. Here, people are taking action in their daily routines. A great example is Rosie O’Donald, lecturing her guy friends about how men muck up the world by worshipping ‘Beautiful Girls’. Ironically she’s leading them (like a teacher) into a drug store and buying beauty products and it’s a great way for her to pick up a girly magazine and use it as a prop. If an amateur filmmaker directed this, the characters would have bumped into each other on some street corner and she would have stood there and lectured them. Too preachy. Kinda like when my Mom lectures me about my lifestyle. he he
