Directors Notes
I'm so thankful to have worked with all the talented people. When you have a great group of people, it makes it the project worth making. 

Workshop your material.  It really helped as a beginning writer to workshop your material and get lots of feedback.

I removed the deleted scene for festivals for 2 reasons:  25 minute limit for festivals and  2,most people wanted to get to the Speed Mating right away.  It was extremely difficult to remove, kinda like removing your left arm.  It's a funny scene without almost any dialogue explaining Jimmy's dating insecurities.

Get  lots of coverage. Prepare. Prepare and have backup plans.
