| I video taped our Read Through
session,to give a glimpse of how the story and script are thoroughly analyzed to find a
focus to our film. We put out thinking caps on and let the creative juices flow
which turned out to be quite funny sometimes. Reality Check Low Res Hi Res- Lisa asks important questions about the story to add more
of a reality than just 2 people sitting on a park bench.
Access Point Low Res Hi Res- The script is an access point into people's lives where
they've had a history together up to that point. "At what point are we entering
their lives ?" is the question that we brainstormed on and Sergei "over
brainstormed".
Make or Break Times Low Res
Hi Res-
Mary's character has to have something at high risk. That's what makes her
afraid. Is it her professional career that's on the line like going IPO? Lisa
adds some of her own personal reality when she uses a line used on her by her X.
"A 'beautiful' woman can't be my girlfriend because
we're perfect for each other?" Low
Res Hi Res
- Would a guy ever say something like that? Do men always qualify their significant other
as Beautiful or Incredible? Does this line fit the character of John?
The Punch Line Low Res
Hi Res
- What is the reward to the audience? If this is a comedy/ drama it has to end with
an interesting ending. Sergei brainstorms a nice ending to the piece.
